COVET

Growing up in an RCC household, I was taught that envying what others have is unhealthy, yet life later showed me something even more destructive: longing for what we ourselves once had.

Created during a time when I was reflecting on photos and memories from the past, this painting contrasts vibrant colours that represent the desire to regain what was lost with dark blue and black stripes symbolising the darker, unhealthy side of that craving.
